Trade Show Updates (2)

1.  Red Mountain Press has a booth at the American Library Association Conference in New Orleans in June. In co-operation with NMBA they are also taking books from NMBA members. Each book will be face-out for the entire time and will be rotated into a featured position. The number of titles accepted to the show is limited so that each can receive the care and attention it deserves.

Because there has been a strong response, Red Mountain has been able to reduce the cost. Those who reserved early at the higher price will receive a refund. For those still wishing to be represented, either the book or the full package is fine.  To reserve appropriate space, we need your commitment, your check, and the title of each book.  The physical package is due June 1.

1st title  $138+ NMGRT= $150
2nd title $130 incl tax
3rd title  $105 incl tax
4th title  $95 or $400 total for all four including tax

For the first title, a full literature package with postcards, bookmarks, and anything else you need to send is $45. Literature for each additional title is $15. Please make your check to Red Mountain Press, mark it for the ALA booth fee, and send it to Red Mountain Press, PO Box 32205, Santa Fe, NM 87594. 2.  NMBA will have a booth this year at the International New Age Trade Show (INATS) in Denver, June 25-27. Arielle Guttman is coordinating the effort to enlist members’ presence and/or books for this show. Please contact her at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 505-984-8330. To participate we need immediately: commitment and check; books, sell sheets, and literature. Cost is $95 to submit a book title, $30 for each additional title.

NMBA June Gala and Annual Meeting

Our Annual Summer Gala celebrates summer in a grand, festive style with socializing and networking. It is also the final day to cast your vote for the candidates running for election on the NMBA board of directors. Ballots for voting will arrive in your mailbox soon with the next issue of Libro. Also on the program, for the second year in a row,  is the announcement of winners in the 2nd Annual Southwest Book Design & Production Awards, as well as presentation of the Book-in-Hand honor. This award goes to someone in New Mexico who continues to contribute significantly to the effort of getting books into the hands of readers. Following the festivities and elections, the board meets to begin another year.
